Power Surge is...
when a girl makes choices based on her values and believes that her actions make a difference. She takes the reins of her life, has agency and does not leave her life to chance.
She replaces a things-happen to me with an I-make-things-happen-for-myself mindset. When a girl understands that she has choices, she does not leave her life to chance. We build this power by teaching a girl to:
- Use personal not popular culture values as a guide
- Understand media literacy skills
- Make decisions without concern for pleasing others
- Believe her actions make a difference
